About Top of the Lake Boat Hire
We are based at Marmong Point and currently have 2 boats available for hire.
These boats are suitable for exploring the north end of Lake Macquarie to as far as Pulbah Island.

Our boats are designed to have a relaxing cruise on the Lake Macquarie with your family or friends, there is plenty of wharfs and attractions around to navigate to and enjoy. Our website will show you some of our key locations that we enjoy and think you will too. View more here.
9.00am til 5pm or 1 hour per dark. (later in summer with daylight savings)
If a boat is not hired out for the day, there is the opportunity to hire for half a day from 12-5pm.
What to Expect
Place your booking enquiry on our booking form here.
After your booking has been approved, you will arrive at Marmong Point, payment and cleaning deposit will be processed. You will be given information about the safety and the operation of the boats. Disclaimers and documentation will need to be filled out and signed.
You will then be on your way to a great day out!
Upon returning the boat at 5.00pm ( or 1 hour before dark) boats must be returned to the boat ramp at Marmong Point. The boats will be checked and received back and if the boat is in suitable condition the cleaning deposit will be returned.

No, the boats are hired out for a full day or half a day from lunch time.
No, the boats are not licensed for night time use.
Once your booking is confirmed, payment can be made over the phone or on the day of hire.
Any age is okay, but all children under the age of 16 must wear life jackets at all times. This is enforced by NSW Maritme requirement.
We do provide adult life jackets. However we expect most customers to have their own life jackets for their children. If you do not have a child life jacket, we do have some that can be hired for the day.
The boat is licensed for 6 adults. Children under 12 count for half a person. Ie, 4 adults and 4 children.
